| STAR- Solon Taxpayers Against Rezoning
We are a group of Solon residents who are providing information about Issue 16 to assist voters in making an informed decision. Issue 16 is an initiative petition by seeking to rezone approximately 32 acres of property off of Hawthorn Parkway from its current classification of R-1-D Single Family Residential District to the R-3-B Senior Citizen District. We feel that changing the zoning from 1 home per acre (R-1-D) to up to 10 units per acre ( R-3-B) is too great of a change for Solon. We believe this could also set a dangerous precedent for future development of the adjacent Hawthorn Valley Golf Course that consists of an additional 170 acres. This could also impact and set precedent for future properties zoned R-1-D throughout the city. We urge you to VOTE "No" on Issue 16 on May 8th to keep the 1 acre zoning. |

| As of this update, The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections reports the following for ISSUE 16: 777 in favor 2681 opposed Ward 1 104 for 336 against Ward 2 69 for 185 against Ward 3 118 for 380 against Ward 4 158 for 486 against Ward 5 153 for 638 against Ward 6 90 for 327 against Ward 7 85 for 329 against STAR would like to thank everyone for their interest in Issue 16.
